Sheel Gupta started theater at the age of 7 and performed for eight years. After graduating from UC Berkeley, she landed a major supporting role in a feature film being shot in the San Francisco bay area. This immediately led to her next feature film, following which, she moved to LA and took on acting full time. Since then she has been in over a dozen short and feature length films.
In her latest film, It’s a Mismatch, Sheel stars alongside Anupam Kher (Bend it Like Beckham, Bride & Prejudice), Boman Irani (Munnabhai M.B.B.S, Veer-Zaara), and Nandana Sen (Black, My Wife’s Murder). It is scheduled to release in 2006 in theatres in America, India, Canada and the UK.
She’s been cast as a lead for two more untitled features that are scheduled to be shot in 2006 and 2006/2007.
